Supporting children & families to navigate life’s changes.
We work with children and families across a wide range of circumstances. Our caring team offers counselling, supervised contact and family reunification services, helping families feel supported and connected.
Our practice is centred on making every visit feel comfortable and supported. We look forward to welcoming you into our space.
Our counselling services support children and families navigating disability, trauma, separation and life challenges. Therapy is tailored to each individual, with care and flexibility to suit different needs, situations and experiences. We welcome Out of Home Care, NDIS and private clients.
Supervised contact supports children, parents and family members to spend time together when separation, conflict or safety concerns are present. Sessions are carefully managed to ensure children’s wellbeing remains the priority, while helping families maintain important connections in a structured and supportive way.
Parent reunification services assist families where contact between a child and a parent has been interrupted and is being safely reintroduced. We work alongside children and parents to support this transition in a structured way that protects children’s wellbeing and supports positive long-term outcomes.
We also offer animal-assisted therapy with Bailey, our qualified therapy dog. For many children, working alongside a calm and trusted animal can help reduce anxiety, build confidence and make it easier to open up during sessions.
About
With more than 20 years of experience, Lisa Gray provides trusted services for children and families navigating a wide range of life circumstances.
Lisa takes a person-centred approach, using creative and evidence-based methods to help children express themselves, build understanding and work through challenges in ways that feel safe and appropriate.
Alongside counselling, Lisa provides supervised contact services that support children in separated families to maintain important relationships in a structured and child-focused way. Lisa also offers family reunification therapy, helping children and parents reconnect with guidance that prioritises safety, consistency and positive outcomes.
A valued part of the team is Bailey, Lisa’s qualified therapy dog, who brings calm and comfort into sessions. For many children, Bailey helps make visits feel more relaxed and approachable, easing anxiety and supporting connection.
“The child I referred to sand play therapy was referred because of his complex emotional and behavioural issues and in particular to give him the support that he needs to be able to explore some of his feelings and begin addressing some of his difficulties. This child has developed in leaps and bounds since he began to attend counselling. He explored some of his past experiences, making sense of his feelings and testing out ways to communicate these, addressing some of his controlling behaviours and anxieties, as well as for relaxation.”

“Our child's journey with Lisa has been transformative. Before starting play therapy, the child struggled with peer relationships, impulsive behaviours, and family communication. Lisa's patient and innovative approach has led to significant improvements. Our child now engages more positively with friends, shares, takes turns, and expresses emotions healthily, leading to stronger connections. Impulsive behaviors have decreased thanks to Lisa’s techniques, and our home is more peaceful. Family communication has also improved, fostering a supportive and loving atmosphere.”
